Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): The Nagaland Development Outreach and Sangtam Baptist Churches Association (USBLA) with the support of Churches Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA) have formed a ‘peoples organization’ by the name Longkhim Chare Community Development Organization (LCCDO).
The Nagaland Development Outreach on Friday informed that it is implementing a project under Longkhim-Chare block titled ‘Socio- Economic Development of the Community by Ensuring the Rights and Entitlement f the People’ with the support of CASA.
“This project is a community centric intervention program and is initiated to assist and guide the general community (especially the down trodden and grass root community.),” it said in a press release.
The programme aims to empower and build the capacity of the common people to take up leadership roles and also be in a position to claim their rights on all government assisted social schemes, it added.
In order to build and sensitize the community, the project has initiated the formation of LCCDO.
The organization will take up any community development related issue for the welfare of the community at large, the release informed.
