DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 14 (MExN): Livingstone Foundation International College organised its 1st Annual College week in a four-day series of events from December 6 to 9  under the theme ‘Exuberance: Celebrating Talents and Culture.’

The event began with an inaugural session graced by Prof L TongpangLongkumer, Head of Agronomy Department SASRD, Nagaland University marking the start of college week after which two-days of various Games and Sports took place with three different teams displaying extensive sportsmanship spirit. Some of the sports included Basketball, Volleyball, Race, etc. 

On Day-III, various literary competitions took place with Bendang Walling, Artistic Director, Founder, Hill Theatre Nagaland as the Guest speaker for the introductory session who addressed on the importance of exhibiting and preserving one’s identity by reconciling with bygone indigenous folklore through means of media and art forms. 

Various competitions of the day included Mini theatre, dance, spoken words, etc. The last day of the college week culminated with the Cultural Day with K. Temjen Jamir, Editor, Tir Yimyim as the Special guest who talked about Culture and how it is evolving and progressing everyday. 

The day was filled with indigenous games, Sumi folk song and a short skit on the “Origin of Axone” by the Drama club of the college.  The weeklong event was enthusiastically participated by all students with great energy, zeal and passion, making the auspicious occasion into a memorable and a spectacular success having ‘yellow house’ as the overall champion.
