Dimapur, October 26 (MExN): Lions family Annual Deepawali Mela is scheduled to be held at Lions Center, Dimapur on October 28 with Minister for Higher & Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer as the special invitee. Ajay Sethi, Co-Chairman (PRO), Deepawali Mela Lions Club of Dimapur in a press release stated that the Mela is the only fund-raising project of Lions Club of Dimapur which supports all the charity activities of Lions and Leos of Dimapur. Narottam Jha is the Chairman while Gopal Sharma and Vikas Maheshwari are the Co-chairmen of the mela this year.
“More than 5,000 citizens in Nagaland attend this function every year which is one of its kind of get-together of all-communities,” Sethi also stated. Winners of 31st Lions International’s Peace-Poster Contest on the theme “Kindness Matters” will be also awarded on the occasion. All the representatives of 29 participating schools with respective participants are requested to be in the Lions Center at 2:00 pm.
