DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 5 (MExN): The Lions Club of Dimapur Elite organised the International Peace Poster Contest on the theme “Together as One” at Wandering Minds College of Fine Arts, Dimapur.
Altogether 27 students from 10 schools and one fine arts school, aged between 11 and 13 years, participated in the competition, expressing the theme through colours, concepts and messages of peace and harmony.
The project was led by Project Chairperson, Lion Isha Jain, with Co-Chairpersons Lion Maya Jain and Lion Sakshi Jain, under the leadership of President Lion Meena Jain and Secretary Lion Prernaa Maheswarri.
Asyana Ningshen, Livingstone Foundation International was adjudged the winner, Debnath, Kendriya Vidyalaya Dimapur,1st runners up; Jeevika Debnath, Chitrakala School of Fine Arts as 2nd runners up. Five consolation prizes were also awarded.
The event was graced by Past District Governor Lion Lalita Khaderia, GST Coordinator and Guiding Lion Neeta Agarwal, along with presidents, secretaries and members of Lions Clubs of Dimapur.
A calligraphy workshop by Yanger followed the competition, adding to the creative spirit of the day. Organisers commended the children for their artistic expression and reaffirmed the club’s commitment to promoting peace and nurturing young talent.
