LJP Nagaland claims it will be a ‘kingmaker’

Dimapur, February 22 (MExN): The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) today claimed that the party is in a good position to be a ‘kingmaker’ in the upcoming Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), and made its intention clear on any post-poll alliance.

Accordingly, the LJP (Ram Vilas) Nagaland will be playing a “crucial and vital role in Government formation with blessing from the centre NDA Government,” the party said in a statement from its media cell.

The LJP (RV) is a “natural alliance” of the current BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre, it asserted

LJP (RV) National President Chirag Paswan is in a good relation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. In the present situation we are in good position in our state as well as in centre, it added.

Meanwhile, the party further claimed that its main aim is to bring “changes in Nagaland be it in political or social development and to uplift the minority and the people as whole.”

“We aim to bring socio-economic development, education, infrastructure and most importantly the long-standing Indo-Naga Solution," it said.

The LJP (RV) Nagaland further stated that it welcomes all the like-minded parties to join the party in a post alliance to form a government to work together towards bringing changes in Nagaland.

Nagaland is going to poll on February 27 and the LJP (RV) is fielding 16 candidates including 5 re-contesting legislators, who contested from other parties in 2018.
