CHDD condoles
Dimapur, March 11 (MExN): Chakhesang Hoho Dimapur District (CHDD) has express deep sorrow and grief over the sudden demise of Late Liechütso Lasou, President Chakhesang Hoho Kohima who passed away on March 8. CHDD in a condolence message said that Late Lasou was a social worker who has selflessly contributed for the welfare of Chakhesang tribe. The Hoho prays to God to grant strength and comfort to the bereaved family members.

Mokokchung, March 11 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi has informed commuters of Mokokchung district travelling/crossing Assam to understand the local sentiments prevailing there and resist/refrain from any kind of provocation stating that assembly election in Assam is scheduled during the month of April 2011. A press note to this effect was issued by Deputy Commissioner in Mokokchung on March 9 in the interest of citizens of Mokokchung district.
Villagers caution on burning jhum fields
Mokokchung, March 11 (DIPR): Villages under Mokokchung district, particularly those close to the District Headquarter have been directed to inform district Administration and the Police in particular on burning forest during Jhum cycle well ahead of time. Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi, in a circular said this is necessary to ensure preparedness to meet any eventuality.
