Mon DPDB meets
Dimapur, March 22 (MExN): The monthly District Planning & Development Board meeting of Mon District was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall on March 22, 2011. At the outset Deputy Commissioner Mon, Dinesh Kumar IAS welcomed all the DPDB members present at the meeting and reviewed the last DPDB meeting minutes. He lauded the Census team on their successful completion of Census in Mon and further added that census figures are likely to be out soon. The house further deliberated on the need to ban hunting and fishing by use of chemical and bombs, celebration of Aoleang festival on April 5, 2011 and also the irregularity of BSNL services in Mon. Winding up the meeting, Vice Chairman DPDB & DC Mon Dinesh Kumar proposed that two departments, Forest and Land Resources, will give detailed report on their departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting.
NCRC Pre Golden Jubilee celebration
Dimapur, March 22 (MExN): The Nagaland Christian Revival Church Chesezu in commemoration with the Year of Jubilee will celebrate Pre Golden Jubilee celebration under the theme, “Reconciliation with Christ” at its Church premises on March 27. On the occasion, Executive Secretary, CC CRC Rev Vevozo Khamo, will do the honour of declaration of the Year of Jubilee.
KSSU meet
Kohima, March 22 (MExN): The Kohima Sumi Students’ Union will hold its meeting on March 26 at 1:00 pm at the residence of its Union Banker, Para Medical, Kohima. All the executives have been directed to attend the said meeting without fail.

Kohima, March 22 (MExN): All the VRS left out under NPWD (R&B) & (H) who were verified by the STF under the vigilance commission have been requested to submit their identity card to the W/C head office, Kohima on or before April 15 during office hour. Failing to submit the same will not be entertained henceforth, according to a release issued by The All Nagaland PWD (R&B) & (H) Workcharge Employees Association.
AIR regional staff training underway
Dimapur, March 22 (MExN): The Prasar Bharati Broadcasting Corporation of India Regional Staff Training for All India Radio and Doordarshan is underway at All India Radio, Kohima Conference Hall from March 21 to 25 , 2011. According to AIR official source, the training will mainly focus on Hard Disk Based Recording and Delivery System and AIR virtual studio for PEX, SEA, EA, TREX, artist staff and for programme officials.
On Monday, March 21, 2011 the training session was inaugurated by Station Engineer, K.K. Rengma. A.R. Yadave, Assistant Engineer, Kohima is the Nodal Officer for the training. O.N, Pradhan and S.K. Rai, Assistant Engineer, AIR Shillong are the main resource persons in the training. A total number of 29 participants form Mokokchung, Tuensang, Mon, Imphal, Dibrugarh and Kohima are taking part in the ongoing Regional Staff Training.
CAPO’s seminar on socio-eco development
Kohima, March 22 (MExN): The Chokri Area Public Organization (CAPO) is organizing a one day seminar on socio-economic development on April 2 at Chetheba Town Hall. Keynote address will be delivered by Chotisüh Sazo, parliamentary secretary for social welfare & women development. The resource persons will be Norman Putsure, secretary urban development and team leader Nagaland Bamboo Mission and Vengota Nakro, project operations unit member and deputy director, soil & water conservation.
