The Land Owners Coordination Committee (LOCC) of Tri-Junction (Khouvarü Bridge to Pachaspura under NH 129 A (Package II) unanimously adopted three resolutions in a meeting held on Wednesday.
In a media briefing with a section of media, convenor of LOCC, T Shuya, said the landowners in a meeting held on Wednesday deliberated on the issue of ‘compensation’ related to the NH 129 A (package-2) connecting Chümoukedima-Dimapur to Ngwalwa in Peren district (Tri-junction beginning from Khuovarü Iron Bridge to Huocharü River).
According to Shuya, the meeting resolved that the LOCC would pursue the meeting resolution adopted on January 26. The January 26 LOCC meeting stated that the Committee would not attend the January 28 and 29, 2021, ‘summon meeting’ issued by the Chümoukedima ‘A’ Village council secretary, since the Chümoukedima ‘A’ Village council did not consult the landowners for land compensation at any point of time.
The second resolution of LOCC stated that the landowners had apprised the Chümoukedima Village Council (CVC) authority on February 6 and decided its stand on ‘No land compensation, No road allowed to be constructed from Tri-Junction of Khuova River Bridge to Huocharü behind Pachaspura’.
Further, Wednesdays’ meeting resolved that the landowners of tri-junction from Khuovarü River Bridge to Huocharü River behind Pachaspura, would demand the concerned authority/ parties to take up the land compensation issue immediately by paying the compensation and carry out the construction of NH 129 A (Package-II).
