Longleng, April 27 (MExN): The COVID Care Centre (CCC) and COVID-19 Hospital, Longleng was dedicated by PDCA Executive Secretary Rev Tialemba Phom on April 26 at DIET Building, New Site, Longleng. The two health facilities were declared operational with immediate effect due to increasing COVID-19 cases in the district, a DIPR report stated on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion Longleng Deputy Commissioner M Shayung Phom appreciated Bhumnyu village for coming forward and supporting the District Task Force without any reservations even as the current CCC and COVID-19 hospital which falls under its jurisdiction is being operationalized.
Longleng Medical Superintendent Dr Lhouvizotuo presented the status report of the CCC and COVID-19 hospital and informed that the hospital has a total capacity of 17 beds, 1 Operation Theatre (OT), 1 Labour Room, 1 Laboratory and 2 ICU beds while the CCC has a total capacity of 9 beds.
DPO (RCH & UIP) & District Media Spokesperson for COVID-19 Vaccination, Dr Imnameren Phom highlighted on the ongoing Vaccination Programme. The programme was chaired by EAC Longlwng Headquarter Ruokuosetuo Tetso, the DIPR stated.
