LONGLENG, OCTOBER 12 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Longleng has directed 48 hour sealing of a house at Shayung ward, Longleng in light of detection of a COVID-19 case. “All movement of person/ vehicle in the sealed area is strictly restricted/ prohibited and under active surveillance with effect from the date of sealing,” an order from the DC informed. Another order by the DC observed that shops business establishments and the public have been violating unlocked guidelines issued by the government from time to time. It cautioned that this is punishable under the law and directed all shops and business establishments to strictly adhere to the guidelines with immediate effect. These include compulsory wearing of face cover/mask; provisions for hand sanitization/hand wash for customers/workers/employees; social distancing in public and vehicles; and proper sanitization of door knobs/handles in shops/business establishments and other public places.
