Longleng, November 29 (MExN): The officers club Longleng kicked off the first inter-department badminton and carom tournament from November 29 with A. Pongshi Phom, class-1 contractor, as special guest. The event will continue till December 1, the DIPR informed on Monday.
A Pongshi Phom congratulated the founding members and executive members of officers club, Longleng for providing a platform to socialize and urged them to give their best. He hoped that the tournament would be a blessing and an eye opener for the youngsters of the town, the DIPR report stated..
Deputy Commissioner Longleng M Shayung Phom, acknowledged the departments and HoDs for participating and said that due to pandemic, the Officers’ Club could not organize such tournament the previous year. ADC and President Officers’ Club Longleng, D Robin delivered the welcome address while the programme was chaired by EAC, Chingmei. William Kuarinta, presented a special number, the DIPR reported.
