Longleng, January 25 (MExN): The District administration & MSK Longleng celebrated National Day of the Girl Child at DC Conference Hall, Longleng on January 24.
CDPO Longleng, Longlang Luckpan in his short speech encouraged the women and girl child present to participate and attend any programme conducted under BBBP. He highlighted about the service provided by Social Welfare Department for women and child health care.
A DIPR report said that grandmother-granddaughter photography competition was declared at the event. Apang bagged the first position, Putunungla, second and Akokla was placed in 3rd position. The best school monitoring committee under BBBP was awarded to Christian High School, Longleng. The winners were awarded with certificates and cash prizes.
Earlier, introductory note was delivered by Rohbi Sangtam EAC HQ Longleng while Pledge to enroll girls for education was led by Doichong Phom, Ambassador for Girl child Longleng.
