Kohima, December 21 (MExN): The Longting Baptist Church celebrated its golden jubilee under the theme ‘Liberty in Christ’ at Longting village from December 18 to 20 last.
Exhorting the gatherings on the occasion, Nagaland’s Health & Family Welfare Minister P Paiwang Konyak congratulated the Longting Baptist Church for successfully attaining 50 years which he said was a testament to the enduring faith, tireless dedication and divine blessings that have sustained the church and its community over the past five decades.
The minister asserted that over the fifty years, Longting Baptist Church has become a beacon of hope, a wellspring of love and a cornerstone of this community.
He also paid tribute to the spiritual leaders, laypeople and every member who has contributed to the journey, whether through prayers, teaching, service, or through acts of kindness stating that each one of them has played a vital role in making the church a home for all who seek God.
With the celebration, he urged to look forward with renewed zeal adding that the Golden Jubilee is not the end of the journey but a glorious reminder to press on with faith, courage and unity.
Paiwang called upon the congregations to be inspired to continue building a community that mirrors the love, justice and peace of Christ.
The minister wished that may the Jubilee Year be a time of grace, reconciliation and renewal for each one of the members.
