Dr Zasekuolie Chüsi, IAS today underscored that although professionalism is the need of the hour, we may need to “look beyond professionalism with greater perspective and vision for our people” and called upon his fellow professionals and colleagues to “rise above the petty issues and look beyond the horizon for furtherance of the community.”

Chüsi, who is also one of the first in-service veterinarians in the state and the country to be inducted in the non-state civil services of the Indian Administrative Services was speaking at the felicitation programme organized by the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services today at the Directorate Conference Hall.

He also encouraged all servicemen and women to be self-disciplined and have strong determination.

For the IAS cadre, rendering 25 years of service in various capacities for the public has earned him huge experiences and to this he said that the ‘veterinary tag’ will always be with him.

Chüsi, also the President of the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees’ Association (CANSSEA) apprised that among the total of 94 IAS posts sanctioned for the state of Nagaland, 28 are entitled to NCS and non-state civil services and out of which 4 are entitled to non-state civil services. He is the third to be empanelled to this post. However, for the one post remaining, he maintained that we need to put our heads together to fill the remaining vacancy.

He was earlier serving as the Deputy Director of Department of AH & VS prior to his appointment as a member of the Non-State civil service of the IAS on May 3.

He also credited his senior officers, colleagues and family for the unflinching support.

Dr. Temsumeren, Addl Director & HoD lauded the officer for bringing such laurels to the state and described the officer as one of the brightest, most hardworking and dedicated officer in the department.

Dr. Ilang, President, Nagaland Veterinary Association (NVA) who had also closely worked with Chüsi said that the achievement has also been the result of a long fought battle recalling the journey of the CANSSEA back in 2017.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Dr. Budhi Lama.
