Wokha, March 24 (MExN): The Lotha Youth Hoho (LYH) inspected the ongoing road construction at Sanis ‘0’ Point to Lakhuti village under Wokha district on March 20 to take an update of the work progress.
The ongoing work is funded through PMGSY-II (2019-2020).
Led by its president, N Yanpothung Ezung, the LYH addressed the contractors and department overseeing the works to take serious on the ongoing works as per the Detail Project Report (DPR).
Taking note of the “slow pace of work progress,” LYH appealed to the department and contractors not to compromise on the quality of road. The hoho in a press release issued by its media cell urged the concern contractors to complete the works on due time frame as per the work proposal.
The LYH also held a short meeting at Lakhuti village with the concern department and contractor in-charge and deliberated on issues hampering the works progress. The youth organisation assured full support for successful completion of the work. During the meeting, it stated that the department and contractors assured to execute the works as per the DPR.
Earlier, the LYH inspected various development projects carried out under Wokha town through Urban Development. The LYH made an appeal that all development works must be executed and utilized to bring major benefit to the public.
Meanwhile, it also informed that they will continuously inspect works to bring quality roads in the district.
