Phek, December 22 (MExN): The Lozaphuhü Baptist Church (LBC), Phek celebrated its 75 Years of Christianity with the theme ‘Proclaim His Glorious Deeds’ on December 18 and 19. According to Rev Kevengoi Sakha, Pastor, LBC, “The Church during its jubilee celebration took the pledge before God to raise a godly family, to keep the Sabbath Holy and to rededicate its focus on the Mission of God: in giving, in prayers and in reaching out the unreached.”

The pastor in a press release said that Rev Khrotso Mero, Executive Secretary, CBCC spoke on the theme where he emphasized on the zealous and persistent attitude of the pioneers in proclaiming the good news amongst the Chakhesang people despite untold hardships and persecution.

Meanwhile, Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary, NBCC spoke on the topic ‘The Harvest is Plenteous.’ He reiterated the fact that there are still many countries with very less Christian percentage and that is indicative even within our country and neighbouring Asian countries. “Hence, the harvest is plenteous and there is still a great need to preach the Gospel to the unbelievers,” he said.

During the inaugural service, Rev Khrotso Mero unveiled the anniversary monolith after which prayer of blessings has been pronounced by Thoputso Rhakho, Home Evangelist and Rtd Pastor, LBC.

The CYE, Chizami Baptist Church also blessed the occasion with a special praise entitled ‘Let Me Receive Blessings.’ The celebration was also graced by neighbouring churches and villages, pastors and leaders under CBCC and well wishers.
