Dimapur, November 29 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has expressed shock and grief over the untimely demise of Maj Tonivi who passed away on November 28 in a tragic accident. MIP, GPRN/NSCN in a press release stated that Maj Tonivi enrolled in the Naga Army in 1997 and served for 24 years till his demise.
“He was a true soldier known not only for his dedication to his services but was also a compassionate and noble young man who believes in the cause and aspiration of a Naga nation. His service and legacy for the cause of the Naga nation is very much cherished and will be fondly remembered and recorded in the pages of the Naga history,” the MIP stated. It also conveyed deepest condolence to the bereaved family members and prays the Almighty to grant peace and solace during this time of great loss.
