
Dimapur, November 3 (MExN): The Principal of St. Johns School, Tuensang had a brush with death today after the father of a boy studying in the school threatened him with a gun inside his office. The man, whose son is a student of class 10, threatened the Principal and even fired a bullet on the floor that bounced and smashed a window pane into pieces. No injury was reported and the school has not filed an FIR with the police either.
According to reports received here, the man confronted the school Principal after his son failed to clear the class 10 selection exams. He accused the school of deliberating failing his son and demanded to see other students’ mark sheets. When the Principal declined, the man reportedly latched the door from inside and threatened him. The man left after firing a bullet and has reportedly gone into hiding. Following the incident, all private schools in Tuensang town closed for the day. The Chang Tribal Council is looking further into the case.
