March for Jesus

Originally, Martius (March) was the first month of the Roman calendar. In their geographical region, the grips of winter are just beginning to lose their hold in March. It makes sense that a year should begin as a new season of life begins too. Before the popularization of this symbolic word for the god of war, Mars was actually fertility and agricultural deity. It gives the meaning of the continuation of life, fertility, sex, procreation in human, plant and animal realms. Also March embodies a kind of reigniting of the hearts and consciousness of humankind. It marks the beginning of spring season.

All monthsdo have significant meanings and symbols, but this month has a special package for human being as it symbolise the beginning of a new life. This March marks the budding of new seedlings that sprouts to life after much struggle within its own bud.  It reveals all the beauty that is stored within the soul of nature. It gives a ray of hope to human kind that there is hope even after a weary winter. Spiritually, it speaks of being born again by water and the spirit. The dry and parched land will once again be showered with the rain from heaven. The death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (popularly known as Good Friday and Easter Sunday) gives true meaning to this month of March. Significantly, it is a symbol of life to the lifeless and revitalizing all that is about to die. March is a verb in English. Hence, the word calls for action and movement. It denotes that activities should be done. This month calls forth to people to march together for unity and progress.
