Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): The Muslim Council Dimapur has formed a voluntary group called ‘Alvida (funeral) volunteers’ to reach out to any person who requires assistance for burial or cremation of people who succumbed to COVID-19 either in the hospital or at home. The service will be extended to people of all communities, irrespective of religion, so as to ensure a respectful funeral, the MCD informed on Tuesday.
It also appealed the District Task Force for COVID-19, the Medical Superintendent, District Hospital and the directors of all COVID care hospitals, NGOs to contact the following persons in case anyone needs the service: Rashid Ahmed: 7005203887 or Altaf Hussain: 7005506019.
