Peren, July 25 (MExN): A one day workshop on Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign for Education department and ICDS unit of Peren district was held on July 25 at Community Health Centre (CHC), Jalukie.
Ramokla, Coordinator, RBSK Peren chaired the programme, while Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir, DPO UIP/RCH and Dr. Sheila, SMO NPSP (WHO) were the facilitators.
Dr. Nukshisangla gave an introduction on the Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MR Campaign) and highlighted the objectives of the workshop. She further spoke on AEFI treatment/ management during MR Campaign, advocacy, communication and social mobilization plan for the campaign and about organising vaccination session sites, including injection safety & waste management, informed a press release from Pezanguno Celine Secü, District Media Officer, CMO office, Peren.
Dr. Sheila highlighted about MR: country update, elimination strategies, epidemiology and rationale for MR campaign, planning, recording, reporting and monitoring tools and communication for MR vaccination campaign. The basic strategic operational plans for MR vaccination campaign and the roll out plan with timelines & other guidelines were also covered.
The workshop concluded with thorough discussion for effective implementation of the campaign, the release stated.
