Kohima, November 27 (MExN): The meeting on Panel for Review of Communitisation of Public Institutions and Service Act 2002 was held on November 27 at DC Conference Hall, Kohima.
Chairing the meeting, Convenor and Former Chief Secretary Banuo Z Jamir while interacting with the members said that Communitisation was introduced to study the strength and weaknesses of the Communitisation Of Public Institutions And Services Act 2002 covering all the public services under the Act and recommendations for improvement and reformation of delivery of public services, to identify areas of concern and suggest remedial measures for improvement in implementation of the Act or omission of services and activities from the purview of the Act and to study the existing lacunae in the functioning of the stakeholder Departments in implementation of the Act and suggest measures for improvement in the implementation or execution of duties in the delivery of public services etc.
According to a DIPR report, members and representatives from the department of Rural Development, Education, Public Health Engineering, Power and Health and Family Welfare department also highlighted their developmental activities and also discussed about the consolidated list of performing and non performing villages on various sectors under Kohima district.
