A week after the August 25 fuel pump robbery in Meghalaya’s Ri Bhoi district, three suspects were arrested in Nagaland. The Dimapur police confirmed arresting three individuals on September 1. All three were Dimapur residents, identified as Bashen Lam, Bokavi Zhimomi and Rokongulie Kebu.
The three, alongwith one other accomplice, was alleged to have been involved in looting over Rs 4 lakh from a petrol pump in Umsning on the Jorabat to Shillong segment of NH 6 early in the morning of August 25.
A Mahindra Bolero (NL 07 CB 0156), used as the getaway vehicle, was also confiscated by the police. Procedure was underway to hand over the accused and the recovered vehicle to the Meghalaya Police.
