Mercy Eye Center opens new facility

Dimapur, November 25 (MExN): Mercy Eye Center opened its new facility at Urban Haat Road, Chakhesang Colony, Walford, Dimapur on November 25. This new facility ushers in a new era of healthcare in ophthalmology for the people of Nagaland, a press release received here stated. The centre was inaugurated by Rev Dr Pongsing Konyak. 

The Proprietor, Dr Chingkup Konyak, DO, FRCS (Glasgow), shared on the journey of Mercy Eye Center. The centre which was started with a concern and desire to serve the people of Nagaland and along the Indo-Myanmar border, continues to provide eyecare in remotest parts of Nagaland by conducting various eye camps, it stated.  

The splendid single specialty centre was dedicated to God, by Rev Dr Tuisem A Shishak, who also shared about him being a glaucoma patient, and received treatment there. 

The new centre features state of the art diagnostic tools in the field of ophthalmology, which includes OCT, Fundus Photography with Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer, IOL MASTER 700, YAG Laser, Argon green Laser, A scan and B scan. The operating theatre complex consists of three modular theaters that is equipped with advanced technological equipment for tertiary eye care like CENTURION® Vision System for cataract surgery, CONSTELLATION® Vision System for retinal surgery and OPMI LUMERA® 300 advanced operating microscope.
