A three day long Midland Youth Sports Meet 2026 under the theme “Promoting Unity, Fellowship and Sportsmanship through Sports” concluded on July 24 in the premises of Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima.
In Basketball event, Team Mustang emerged the champion tile while Team Hawks stood runner-up.
In Men’s Penalty shootout, Midland Youth Organization (MYO) official team lifted the champion title.
Sleek Sparks won Women’s Penalty Shootout event.
Kelesizo Sote has been declared as the Most Valuable Player while Teisovilhou Vimero bagged the best goal keeper title.
Midland Council chairman Menuokholie Kire graced the closing ceremony as the guest of honour and gave away prizes to the winners.
The closing ceremony was chaired by MYO women coordinator Keviphono Ngukha while Jack Thapa, Pastor, Nepali Baptist Church pronounced invocation.
Vote of thanks was proposed by MYO president Ako Koso (Madi).
Meanwhile, MYO extended its sincere gratitude to everyone for making the sports meet an incredible success.
