Kohima, August 8 (MExN): Minister for Soil & Water Conservation and Geology & Mining, V Kashiho Sangtam held an informal co-ordination meeting with the departmental officers to deliberate on the working of the department and explore further horizons in which the department can contribute towards development of the state.
Soil & Water Conservation Department, Director, Viliehu Nguzhü in a press release stated that in his address, the Minister deliberated on the present working of the department and encouraged the officers to work tirelessly towards upliftment of the state.
Principal Secretary & Agriculture Production Commissioner Imkonglemba Ao, IAS who was also present during the meeting expounded on the role the department had to play in development of Agriculture in the state. Encouraging the department officers to strengthen the department, the APC deliberated on the larger role the department could play with clear vision and dedication towards the mandated activities of the department.
Ikuto Zhimomi, Director of Agriculture, who was present during the meeting also addressed the gathering and highlighted on the Kiphire Aspirational district under NITI Aayog.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner & Secretary, Soil & Water Conservation Department, Vikeyie Kenya. Welcome address was pronounced by Viliehu Nguzhü, Director and vote of thanks by Zhekheto Awomi, Additional Director.
