MIP responds to Wangtin’s points

Dimapur, August 11 (MExN): In the latest missive in the media war between the NSCN-IM and the NSCN-K, the former has responded to the latter’s dy. Kilonser Wangtin Naga’s assertions on Th. Muivah signing the ceasefire for the NSCN-IM only.
“It will be interesting to know from Wangtin if there is any good idea on Naga politics in his mind to represent the Naga public before the world other then condemning and challenging the NSCN/GPRN?” the NSCN-IM MIP queried.

“When used by Indian Intelligence agencies to exploit the silly but anti-NSCN mind-set it is well understand what is to be expected’ whatever comes out from Indian intelligent stooges like Wangtin is venomous as desired by the scheme prepared by his master” the NSCN-IM asserted adding that “they are after all paid and nurtured to make some ‘noise’ with anti-NSCN sting to make their presence felt.”

Querying the NSCN-K’s Kilonser “what have you done for the Naga nation that you take yourself so big” and “how many battle you have fought against the Indian and Burmese armies, not to speak of ever raising a voice of protest in defense of Naga interests” the NSCN-IM asserted “as per your stand on Naga sovereignty have you done any soul searching work to convince the Naga civil society to win their support?”

On the charge that Th. Muivah signed the ceasefire agreement only on behalf of his group, the NSCN-IM wondered if “you are blind to the reality of the situation when NSCN took the corrective step of organizing the Public Consultative Meeting when demanded by the situation.” This is the only way “Naga people’s mandated political leadership” of NSCN functions, the MIP claimed adding that “to end in victory or failure is in God’s hand. But NSCN have been giving their every thing to defend the nation either by arm confrontation or negotiation across the table….”

In regard to killing of Kilonsers, it questioned “Mr. Wangtin, you talk about “Killing Kilonsers”. But who started killing Kilonsers? Were not Kilonser Hanung Pangmi, Kilonser Peyau Konyak, Kilonser Angam Tangkhul and others not Kilonsers in your blind political mission? For your information they were killed in 1988 by your God-father Khaplang among others.” The NSCN-IM admitted that “some” NSCN-K “officers” were killed but “for their aggressive and excessive policy that is destructive for the Naga interest, but nothing to do with revenge which NSCN never practice.”

Further, it asserted that on the NSCN-IM’s relation with the civil society, “there is no stopping for NSCN to share and disclosed whatever is practicable and invite their feedback to push forward our case in the right manner; the voluntary cooperation and solidarity is well demonstrated by the Nagas, and there is no second function to it.”
