Mishilimi celebrates 100 yrs of Christianity

Pughoboto, December 21 (MExN): In commemoration of 100 years of Christianity in Mishilimi village, all churches under Mishilimi village came together under one banner and celebrated Mishilimi Christian Centenary (1921-2021) under the theme: ‘Proclaim the liberation (Isaiah 61:1-4)’ at Old Mishilimi village ground under Pughoboto.

The main speakers of the celebration includes; Rev Hotokhu P Zhimomi, ES SABAK; Rev Vitoka Kinimi, Executive Secretary  NCRC Sumi HQ Pughoboto and Rev Henito Sheqi, Pastor Chisholimi Baptist Church.

Y Vikheho Swu, MLA 13th A/C Pughoboto in his greeting message said with the celebration of 100 years of Christianity, everyone must move ahead with creative ideas and guide each other towards accomplishing one's dream.

The jubilee souvenir was released by Rev Akhato Sheqi Swu Pastor, Prayer and Healing Centre, Ayinato.

Representing 100 years of its existence, jubilee choir numbering 100 members presented a special song in all the services.

Ghoshito G Swu, Pastor Tokugha Baptist Church led the prayer of remembering the pioneers who were no more in this world. Rev. Vitoshe Wotsa led the prayer for all the villagers and in-laws.

Earlier, the jubilee monolith was unveiled by Rev Hotokhu P Zhimomi executive secretary SABAK with the blowing of jubilee trumpet and praise song by jubilee choir.

Akashito Wotsa Pastor, Sumi Baptist Church, Tseminyu led the function.

The main jubilee celebration was led by Tovishe Shohe, Pastor MYBC while S Toshiho Sheqi recorded the follow up function.

Akhalu Sheqi, Akukau, Mishilimi delivered a welcome address while presentation was led by Hosheli Q Wotsa. Nipatoli Achumi, Associate Pastor Women MBC read out the scripture from the Bible.

The morning benediction prayer was pronounced by Yetokhu M Wotsa, Ex. Pastor MBC.

The organizing committee members during press interaction informed that Mishilimi village has 700 households with more than 4000 population.

Mishilimi village is one of the biggest Sumi villages after Lazami village in Zunheboto District, it informed.
