The 15th Session of the United Sangtam Likhum Bumji (USLB) to be held at Chare Town on November 8 and 9 was differed because some NSCN (IM) group and some vested interest individual did not allow the delegates from Kiphire District to attend the meeting and were forcefully send back to Kiphire at gunpoint and were even warned with dire consequences if they try to attend the meeting and even not to speak about it. After that incident no vehicles were allowed to go to Tuensang from Kiphire and people are facing lots of hardship, as till now even though we got district long time back, for every official work we have to run to Tuensang. So, it is my humble request to the Government of Nagaland and Governor to look into the matter before it is too late to handle.
As a laymen, I am very much confused about the NSCN (IM) group who talk volume about unity of all Nagas and integration, but on the other side trying to divide i.e. even small tribe like Sangtam by ‘misleading and distorted propaganda’. Are you not eating your own vomited words as you have been writing, repeating now and then, even on November 10 2005 paper said by (I & P) Kilonser John Dilbung, what is your real motive? Why you are doing this? What will you get by dividing our people and many more question (?) i.e. (NSCN-IM).
Please tell us, did we Sangtams as individual/tribe have committed any sin or done any wrong against your group (NSCN-IM) and for which crime, today you are trying everything to divide our people even up to the extent of stopping Annual Session of our tribal union (i.e. USLB) which is the apex body of Sangtam tribe and the session is to discuss for the welfare of our people and Nagas as a whole and not to harm any tribe/group/organization. It’s just as any other tribe used to do it. Should every tribe Hoho /union take permission from NSCN-IM to have meetings? If so please make us known since we are living in remote place and we are ignorant about the order/information given by your group.
God is the witness that we Sangtam tribe didn’t have any hidden agenda or any ill feeling against any tribe or group (i.e. NSCN-IM/K/FGN) till date, if I’m not mistaken, So the million dollar question in our people mind (i.e. Sangtam Naga) is why your group i.e. NSCN-IM, whom we regard so highly can come down to such an extend even to interfere in our personal life/kitchen matter. Think about it for God sake or we will not be silent for long, to any individual or group who try to divide us and bring disharmony/disunity among us and Nagas as a whole. We’ll do anything/everything to protect our right and freedom, even up to arms if necessary. Don’t misguide and use misleading and distorted propaganda to sow seed of hatred among us.
It is a testing time for our tribe (Sangtam) and Nagas as a whole whether to listen to those who are working for their own selfish gain/goal. Wake up before it is too late for all of us. ‘Curse’ to those people/group/individual who try everything to destroy/divide the nation/tribe unity and harmony for their selfish goal/motive. It is my humble prayer to God to destroy and punish those who try to divide His people for their selfish motive and evil designs.
To all right thinking citizens of all walks of life and especially to the people of Nagaland, rise against such divide and rule policy of any group/organization/faction/ individual because what we the Sangtam tribe are facing today, tomorrow your tribe may be facing next. So before it is too late, let’s come together and fight against such anti-people which will destroy our Naga society. It will be hard to correct if not stopped in time. God save our people and Nagas from evil design of individual/faction/organization who’ll do anything to destroy our unity and harmony.
