One woman, who was reported missing from Mon town on March 30, has reportedly been located in Sikkim. The missing woman’s whereabouts was narrowed down to Gangtok after 8 days of the police tracing her inter-state movement using CCTV footage.
She was last reported seen, per CCTV footage, at the Guwahati Railway Station on the night of March 30. According to the Mon police, her location was narrowed down to Gangtok through the help of NGOs. A police team was already in Siliguri on Monday evening enroute to Gangtok. Citing inputs from field officers, the Superintendent of Police, Mon, told The Morung Express that the woman was unharmed.
