Kohima, March 3 (MExN): Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima, celebrated its 10th Foundation Day cum 8th Graduation Day on March 1 with Dr Pradipta Kumar Pattnaik, Head, Department of Teacher Education, Nagaland University, Meriema Campus as the special guest.
A press release issued by MITE Vice Principal H L Gangte stated that Dr Prattipta Kumar Pattnaik, in his speech exhorted the student-teachers to become true professionals suiting the contemporary society that needs constructivist approach to education rather than behaviorist approach. In the convocation ceremony, the special guest awarded the degree certificates to the Student-Teachers.
Delivering the annual report of the college, Pelee Hekha, Managing Director, highlighted the MITE’s achievement of being the state topper in producing the highest pass percentage from the 2018-20 B.Ed batch with seven university top rank-holders and various distinction holders. He briefed the significance of the Foundation Day reminiscing Dr Hekha Mao who founded the institute.
