Mokokchung, February 25 (MExN): Taking note of the construction of buildings and structures along the NH-02 stretch Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir has directed all concerned individuals to refrain from carrying out any further unauthorized developmental activities over the land within the RoW.
“Some individuals are constructing Buildings/Structures along the NH-02 stretch starting from Km 135.00 (Alichen) to Km 147.00 (Sewak Gate), Km 156.00(DEF) to Km 168.00(Yisemyong) and Km 185.00(Unger) to Km 220.00(Assam Rifle Gate,Tuli),” the DC stated in a notification on February 26.
The assessment for property damage compensation for buildings/structures for widening of single lane to 2 lane of NH-02 along the mentioned stretch has already been carried out and completed by the NH team and Line Departments, District Administration in coordination with the Village Council of the concerned villages, the DC informed.
While restricting any further unauthorized developmental activities over the land within the RoW, the DC said that any new developmental activities by way of constructing buildings/structures within the earmarked RoW will not be accounted for compensation. All such buildings/structures constructed and those under construction will be at the risk of the individuals concerned, the DC cautioned.
