Mokokchung, October 19 (MExN): The office of the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Mokokchung has informed that there has been some rescheduling of dates regarding the vegetation clearance for 132kV and 66kV Transmission Lines that were notified earlier.
The rescheduling is necessitated owing to the bye-election poll for the 43rd Tapi Assembly Constituency under Mon District fixed for November 7 by the Election Commission of India, the division informed.
However, the total shutdown of power from 8 AM to 4 PM daily on the scheduled dates will remain the same.
The department stated that this exercise is necessitated with the aim of providing a stable power supply and avoiding unwarranted disruptions of supply and appealed to the public in the affected areas to extend their cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
