Moamenla Jamir receives KLST Jubilee Memorial Education Award

Kohima: Kohima Longjang Senso Telongjem Jubilee Memorial Education Award 2014 felicitation programme was held on May 18 at Chang Baptist Church, Kohima.

Er. Lanu Aier in a short speech on behalf of Kohima Longjang Senso Telongjem congratulated all the successful students of HSLC 2014. He said that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and further urged the students to keep this in mind. He said nothing is impossible when one puts in hard work with dedication. He expressed gratitude to all the parents for their guidance, wisdom and knowledge.

Convenor, Jubilee Memorial Education Award Committee, L. Meren Imchen congratulated all the winning students and mentioned that this award was started keeping in mind to encourage the students. Moamenla Jamir who secured 13th position in HSLC 2014 was awarded a certificate and Rs. 10,000/-. All other successful students were also given cash incentives.

ADC (Hq) Kohima Akumla Chuba in a short message congratulated all the successful students and reminded that it is like a battle that was won through hard work, dedication and with blessing from God and she further urged all of them to be humble and honest. She added that this is the first step and starting from tomorrow there are more battles that had to be won. She cited the example of NPSC result which shows a decline for Ao tribe so it is the responsibilities of all you to fill the gap, she added.

Sashirenla Aier chaired the programme, Bible reading by Amongla Pongen and Temjen Jamir from Kohima Music Institute presented a special number.
