Kiphire, October 1 (MExN): Consequent upon the announcement of the Bye-Election to the 60 Pungro-Kiphire Assembly Constituency by the Election Commission India and in pursuance of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland notification, the DC & DEO Kiphire Abhinav Shivam IAS has informed to all concerned that the Model Code of Conduct comes into force with immediate effect throughout Kiphire district.
The political parties, intending candidates, Government departments and general public are informed to take note of the same and adhere strictly to the model code of conduct to ensure peaceful conduct of the said Bye-Election.
In this connection the schedule of conduct of Bye Election 60 Pungro-Kiphire Assembly constituency as follows:
• Announcement & issue of press note: October 29 (Thursday)
• Date of issue of Gazette Notification: October 9(Friday)
• Last date of nominations: October 16 (Friday)
• Date for security of nominations: October 17 (Saturday)
• Last date for withdrawal of candidates: October 19 (Monday)
• Date of poll: November 3 (Tuesday)
• Date of counting: November 10 (Tuesday)
• Date before which election shall be completed: November 12 (Thursday)
“Consequent the announcement of Bye-Election to 60 Pungro-Kiphire Assembly Constituency, the model code of conduct comes into force with immediate effect and shall be in force till the completion of Election process,” the DC & DEO Kiphire added.
