Kohima, November 20 (MExN): The Department of English, Modern College Kohima organised one day National webinar on “Northeast Literature: A Response to Post Colonial Political and Social Conflict” on November 20.
The speakers were Dr Vizovono Elizabeth and Dr Vieo Pou. Dr Vizovono Elizabeth is currently an independent researcher and freelance editor. She spoke on the “Northeast Women’s Literary Interventions into Gendered Violence: Breaking the shame in Honesty". Dr Veio Pou is an Assistant Professor, Department of English, in Shaeed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi. He spoke on “Northeast Writings Beyond the violence and exotic”.
The webinar was followed by a series of questions from the participants. Imlikokla, Assistant Professor, Department of English, moderated the webinar and welcome address was delivered by Watimongla, HoD, Department of English.
