Mokokchung, August 8 (MExN): Children School, Mokokchung held its Literary Day 2024 on the theme ‘Excelsior’. An array of activities involving all students from the nursery till the Class 10 was held at the beautiful Aongza Ki (Aongza Ward Council building).
Children School, Headmistress Toshimenla in the welcome address encouraged the student stating that “your voice matters and your stories deserve to be told.” She added, “as we gather to cherish the power of words, to celebrate the magic of language and to recognise the literary talents among us, our school (Children School) has always believed in fostering a love for creative expressions in literature.”
The nearly four hour programme witnessed an array of activities where the children presented different activities. Among others, the main feature was the prepared speech where Ameer and Rongsentula of Class 10 were adjudged the winners. In the Spelling Bee competition (Ao vocabulary), Imnasenla and Talisen, of Class 7, were adjudged winners.
The programme was emceed by Imtisenla while Imtijungla invoked God’s blessing. Convener, Literary Committee Pursenla delivered the vote of thanks.
