He sought the support of the Chairman and legislators to place Mokokchung on the tourism map.
In response, the Chairman remarked that tourism is a multidisciplinary sector requiring collective effort. He expressed gratitude to “the government of the day” for successfully completing the 25th edition of the Hornbill Festival, noting its significant opportunities for entrepreneurs and artists. He asserted that Mokokchung should establish its unique identity in tourism instead of replicating Kohima’s offerings.
