Mokokchung, May 27 (MExN): The installation of the Oxygen Generation Plant at COVID-19 Hospital Mokokchung is complete and the department will fix the oxygen tanks to the beds at the earliest.
This was disclosed to the Ongpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang (Ongpangkong Student’s Conference) by Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung Limawabang Jamir and Chief Medical Officer, Dr R Chubala Aier during their meeting held on May 26 and 27 respectively.
The OKM team led by President, Limatongzuk met the DC Mokokchung and CMO to discuss and get updates on the preparedness of the district administration with regard to the increase in COVID positive cases in the district.
The team was also informed that the set-up of the COVID Care Centre in Marepkong will start from May 27 which will cater to the needs of the patients in Mokokchung. The COVID-19 hospital is fully equipped with 50 beds and 4 ventillators, they also added.
A press release from the OKM office stated that after meetings they observed that the district was in dire need for a True-Nat machine and one portable X-ray machine and therefore, urged the Government to look into the needs of the districts tasks force and respond to its needs.
It appreciated the tireless efforts and sacrifices of the District Administration and frontline workers and urged the public to follow all rules and regulations and SOPs and render co-operation.
