Mon, May 22 (MExN): Mon Deputy Commissioner Thavaseelan K on Saturday notified that a jungle cutting/clearing exercise along the existing 33KV line from 66/33 KV emanating from Naginimora Substation up to Mon Power House will begin from May 25.
Informing that the transmission line passes through Tanhai Village to Longkei Village; Longkei Village to Leangnyu Village; Leangnyu Village to Tenang River; Tenang River to Wakching Road (Old); Wakching Road (Old) to Dhobinalla (Thamnan Ward); Dhobinalla (Thamnan Ward) to Power House (via KBCM), DC Thavaseelan directed all the landowners to collect any valuable crops or trees that fall under the said transmission line on or before May 24.
The line with a width of Right of Way (RoW) of 15 metres will be kept charged at rated voltage as standby feeder to Mon Headquarter thereafter, the DC’s notice stated.
