Nagaland: Preparation on full swing for Hornbill Fest 2026

Massive preparations are going for the upcoming 26th edition of Hornbill Festival 2025 at the main venue Naga Heritage Village Kisama, near Kohima Nagaland Tourism Director Veyielo Doulo told The Morung Express that preparations are going on full swing.

Hornbill Festival is a ten-day tourism promotional annual event since 2000 in Nagaland, which take place from December 1-10.

This festival showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas.

Organised by the state government, the festival showcases Naga tribal culture and at the same time boosting tourism industry in Nagaland

The festival is named after Hornbill bird, which is significant in Naga culture.

The 25th edition of the Hornbill Festival in 2024 saw a total of 2,05,968 visitors at Naga Heritage Village Kisama, the main venue of the Hornbill Festival
