Mokokchung, June 5 (MExN): The Power department has informed that the scheduled power shutdowns in Mon district headquarter and surrounding areas has been extended till June 9, “owing to partial completion of the ongoing intensive jungle clearance works along 66kV Nagnimora-Tizit Transmission Line.” Informing this in a press release on Saturday, Assistant Engineer (Trans), Mokokchung Transmission Division stated that power supply will be disrupted to Mon District Hq and surrounding areas from 7:00-10:00 am and 2:30-5:00 pm daily. “This is necessitated as a measure to ensure stable power supply to Mon district before the onset of monsoon,” the release stated.
