
Mon, November 29 (MExN): A district level electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network (eVIN) refreshers training for Cold Chain Handlers, DEO and Vaccine Cold Chain Managers (VCCM) was held on November 29 at CMO conference hall, Mon.
While welcoming the participants, Chief Medical Officer Dr Kechongol Sophie acknowledged the District Immunization Officer Dr ShasinleTep for carrying out many programmes under Universal Immunization Programme & Reproductive Child Health (UIP &RCH), in spite of the additional work load concerning the pandemic. Focusing on the training, Dr Kechongol said that the training was very important technological solution for providing real time information. The success of the programme will depend wholly on the participants who will be responsible in tackling the application, as it will give the actual data. As such, he requested the participants to take it seriously and to clarify every doubt they come across.
According to a press release from the Media Officer, NHM, Mon, Leeyan Chemshy, the training was conducted by Rajesh Khartu Monsang, Project Officer-Operations UNDP and Sosopem Muinao, Vaccine Cold Chain Manager, Mon. They facilitated the training on revised National Immunization Schedule with newly introduced vaccines; safe handling, maintenance and management of vaccines & CCE (Cold Chain Equipment); eVIN vaccine stock and distribution registers; Standard Operating Procedures of mobile app, web interface revision and TL (Temperature Locker) features; Field issues in eVIN& COWIN implementation.
