Mon, October 22 (MExN): The District Level Committee for Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, Mon organized a webinar on ‘mental health and substance abuse’ on October 22.
The webinar was attended by 26 Master Volunteers of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Mon District. Master Volunteers have been selected from various fields including education, student bodies and NGOs working in the related sector.
These Master Volunteers will be spreading message of the Abhiyaan and implementing various activities under the programme.
Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS in a press release said that the resource persons were Rini Ghose, Director of Serendip Guardians and Rugozevou Khate, Psychiatric Social Worker of Serendip Guardians.
Serendip Guardians is one of the few NGOs in Nagaland working in the field of mental health. They aim to create awareness on mental health and advocate for improving psychological support for individuals. They provide counseling to individuals and groups and also offer programmes to deal with mental health.
The webinar was also made open to any other interested individuals.
