Zunheboto, May 30 (MExN): In connection to the two-lane construction in Zunheboto town jurisdiction, the Zunheboto Town Two Lane Monitoring Committee (ZTTLMC) has appealed to the stakeholders under SARDP Sumi Area Affected Landowners Welfare Committee (SSAALWC) to halt their protest and “provide an exemplary action focusing on upcoming generations.”
The committee in a press release said that it supports the SSAALWC for compensation incurred in the destruction of valuable immovable assets in process of road development under their area. While supporting Deputy Commissioner’s order dated May 27, 2021, the ZTTLMC said it acknowledges the landowners of villages namely Xuivi, Satakha Village, Kiyekhu and Yemishe for their “emancipation towards the ongoing two lane construction.”
Further, the committee asserted on the pending case of compensation by the Maytas & Gayatri at High Court and appealed the land owners to support the two-lane road construction without any obstruction inorder to complete the work within stipulated time allotted to the construction company.
Meanwhile, it also stated that the core objective of the ZTTLMC is to supervise and monitor quality workmanship and beseech all the concerned to pave way for the smooth development of two-lane construction from Chakhabama to Zunheboto.
The ZTTLMC was setup in the first joint meeting of Zunheboto Area Public Organization (ZAPO), Zunheboto Tokukujo Kukami (ZTK), Zunheboto Sumi Totimi Hoho (ZSTH) and Zunheboto Range Students’ Union (ZRSU) under the aegis of Zunheboto Town GBs Association (ZTGBA) on April 30, 2021.
