Mon, March 1 (MExN): Concerned by the rise in cases of substance abuse among the youth, the Guhching Village Council launched a month long De-addiction Camp at Guhching village under Mon district on February 23.
According to a press release received on Monday, the council organised the de-addiction camp under Joint Action Committee (JAC) with village funds and free will contributions from individuals. A total of 24 persons registered for the programme which is implemented by the Evergreen Welfare Society, Mon.
Special guest for the launch programme, Mon BDO Manhom acknowledged the organisers and Evergreen Welfare Society for taking up the noble cause. He also encouraged all the campers to take the opportunity to change themselves and benefit from treatment programme.
An activity report was presented by JAC Secretary Luaka while Rev N Gotok, Pastor GBC conducted the camp dedication prayer.
