Kohima, October 12 (MExN): The Nagaland Government has declared a two-day State mourning as a mark of respect for veteran politician and State Cabinet Mnister, CM Chang who passed away on October 12.
An official said that Chang’s mortal remains were taken to his native village of Noksen under Tuensang district at around 7:00 pm. He will be accorded a State funeral on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, an official notification issued by the Chief Secretary stated that two days of state mourning will be observed throughout Nagaland from October 13-14.
"During the period of state mourning, the national flag will be flown at half mast throughout Nagaland where it is regularly flown,” it said.
There will be no official entertainment during this period, it added.
