Mother’s Hope founder represents India at women empowerment seminar in Japan

Dimapur, October 7 (MExN): The Founder & Director of Mother’s Hope, Moamenla Jamir is presently in Tokyo, representing India at the 10 days international training programme called, “Empowerment Seminar for Women Leaders in the Asia Pacific Region”, i.e. from September 30 to October 9.

A press note issued by N Manen Jamir, Lecturer in English Department of Sakus Mission College has informed that the Government of Japan is "spending millions of yen" for such type of women’s international programme through NWEC (National Women’s Education Centre, Japan).

The note also stated that the NWEC training for women leaders in the Asia Pacific Region covers courses like: (1) Training Course to Promote Gender Equality for Leaders of Women's Facilities, Groups and Organization, (2) Training Course to Promote Gender Equality at Universities and Research Institutes, (3) Training Program on the Promotion of Support for Women's Career Building, (4) Training Course for Counselors at Women's Facilities, (5) Seminar on Support for Victims of Spousal Violence(Applied Seminar), and (6) Seminar on Support for Victims of Spousal Violence(Management Seminar).

“The principal objective of the Independent Administrative Institution - the National Women's Education Center (NWEC) is to promote women's education and contribute to realize the gender-equal society, through conducting training programs for regional government officers, educational and group leaders, and international trainees and other personnel in women's education, and conducting specialized research and surveys on women's education,” the note said.
