Zunheboto, October 13 (MExN): Member of Parliament, Tokheho Yepthomi visited Zunheboto district and held a meeting to review implementation of centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) and development activities in the district on October 12.
According a DIPR report received on Tuesday, Heads of Departments of DRDA, Women and Child Development, Food and Civil Supplies and PWD presented detailed reports on the ongoing activities and implementation of central schemes in their respective departments.
The MP is said to have underscored Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to see a developed nation, and as such, encouraged proper implementation of central government schemes and sternly discouraged mismanagement of the same. He said that the visit was ‘fruitful’ as he could see proper utilization of the schemes but however, expressed dissatisfaction as some departments did not take part in the meeting, the report stated. ‘I expect every department concerned, to respond positively on the next meeting scheduled in the month of December 2020,’ it quoted him as saying.
Further, Yepthomi lauded the efforts put together by all the frontline workers, headed by the Deputy Commissioner Peter Lichamo, in tackling the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
