‘Multi Media Exhibition’ concludes

Kisama, December 10 (MExN): Commemorating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi as a part of Hornbill festival, the Regional Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Kohima organized a closing programme of the ‘Multi Media Exhibition’ highlighting the era of Mahatma Gandhi at the Heritage village on the last Day of Hornbill festival 2019.
Speaking as the special guest, a DIPR report stated that Minister for Higher and Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along stated that the country's icon Mohandus Karamchand Gandhi was not born as Mahatma but today not only state and nation but the whole world is synonymous with one word called the Mahatma where he is still relevant today. He appealed, to all the young women and men and elder generations of the state to imbibe the qualities of the Mahatma in every step of our lives. He added that Swatcch Bharat, clean India is not trying to influenced Indianisation in to a tribal society but it was an initiative for all the people to live a better life in a clean environment and urged the people of the state to take a decision to live like a life of Gandhiji so that our land will be a beautiful land to live in.
Meanwhile, the result of the essay competition on the topic ‘Relevance of Gandhi principle and nature in the present context’ was declared where Tulasi Bisukarma, Wapangzenla and Pangijungwati from Modern college, Kohima secured the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.
